
Technical characteristics
Grape variety : Grenache noir
Vinification : the grapes are hand-picked and then undergo fermentation at a low temperature. The maceration period lasts about 25 days and then alcohol is added to stop the fermentation. The wine is then aged in casks for at least one year.
Tasting notes :
Appearance : deep garnet.
Nose : intense, with aroma of red fruits such as cherries, blackberries and blackcurrants. Palate : powerful, with concentrated flavours of cherry and blackcurrant with a hint of spice on the finish. The tannins are soft and supple. This wine has the potential for long ageing.
Serving suggestions :
This would be perfect as a marinade for young wild boar with is then roasted. This is also the perfect accompaniment to tarts, ice-creams or sorbets made from red berries or chocolate and coffee dishes.
Serve between 14° and 16°C.
